The Texas Rage Fastpitch Softball Club was founded to achieve a simple mission:
Provide a fun, learning environment for young ladies to compete and achieve success in softball, by teaching athletes fundamental skills in a competitive arena.
To this extent, all the Texas Rage teams train, practice, and compete in the spirit of this statement.
The Texas Rage Fastpitch Softball Club offers teams for girls ages 8-13.
History
The club was founded by Jenine and Mark Kuss to provide both a positive and competitive environment for female athletes to learn all aspects fastpitch softball. Jenine was a head softball coach for a competitive 4A high school in the DFW area for 5 years, making the UIL playoffs five consecutive yers and has over ten years experience coaching at the high school level. Mark coached the 18U Texas Rage, a summer supplement program for the high school players. Both have attended and instructed numerous fastpitch clinics and programs in the past ten years. The two are invloved with the Amateur Softball Association, United States Specialty Sports Association, National Fastpitch Coaches Association, and the National Profastpitch League.
Approach
The Texas Rage approach focuses on the long term development of the athlete and assisting parents with their children in the formative years of their life. Fastpitch softball is taught in a progressive program where the fundamental skills are reinforced continuously and built upon in each training/practice session.
